Dr. Jennifer Perdue
Doctor of Chiropractic
Dr. Jennifer Perdue is the sole founder and owner of Live for Wellness Chiropractic Centers located in West Ashley and Johns Island. After sustaining a sports injury when younger, she discovered the amazing health benefits of chiropractic care and knew that it was her calling to help others through the gift of chiropractic.
Prior to opening Live for Wellness Chiropractic Center, Dr. Perdue began practicing at a local chiropractic clinic in the Charleston area. She worked closely with a chiropractor in Summerville to complete her internship. Dr. Perdue also worked as a Chiropractic Assistant and Office Manager while completing her undergraduate studies.
To begin her journey, she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She was blessed to have been accepted to Palmer College of Chiropractic, which is the first and largest chiropractic school in the world. Through rigorous medical courses and hands-on training, she graduated in 2012 from Palmer College, which is located in Davenport, Iowa. While in chiropractic school, Dr. Perdue was the President of the Pediatrics Club, which allowed her to attend seminars on the specialized care of children and pregnant women.
Dr. Perdue is a member of the Lowcountry Chapter of Business Networking International (BNI), a proud supporter of local Charleston businesses as a member of Lowcountry Local First, a member of the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce and the Sea Islands Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Perdue has spoken as a medical expert in personal injury cases and to medical physicians at MUSC. She loves sharing expert knowledge of chiropractic care to local professionals and organizations. Dr. Perdue was voted Best Chiropractor by the Charleston City Paper in 2019 and 2020.
Dr. Perdue makes it her mission to bring the benefits of chiropractic to others through volunteering. She was granted the opportunity to help those in need in Ilheus, Brazil. While in Brazil, she provided free health care and was selected to provide chiropractic care for children in an orphanage. She looks forward to continuing her philanthropy to help those in the Charleston area and beyond. To do so, Dr. Perdue serves on the Board of Directors for Pattison’s Academy; a local school for special needs children in the Charleston area.
To stay active, Dr. Perdue enjoys figure skating, biking, and weight training. She enjoys the sunny days at the beach, attending her local Church, along with walks in the beautiful historic downtown area.

Dr. Breann Arentsen
Doctor of Chiropractic
Dr. Arentsen discovered chiropractic while performing her undergraduate studies She fell in love with the hands-on approach and specific individualized treatment to achieve balance in the body. She understands that the human body is intelligent and is able to heal and adapt naturally when the body is in balance.
Dr. Arentsen got her start at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. With many great chiropractic schools throughout the US, Dr. Arentsen was fortunate to start her journey at the fountainhead of chiropractic at Palmer College in Davenport, Iowa where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. During chiropractic school, Dr. Arentsen was blessed to work as Vice-President of the Pediatrics Club to further her knowledge in the specialized care of pregnancy and children.
Dr. Arentsen has a personal interest in children with special needs. She has had a great opportunity throughout her youth to volunteer at Fairview South School in Wisconsin. This school gives children with special needs the opportunity to improve the quality of their lives as well as enable them to become participating members in their communities. Dr. Arentsen looks forward to continuing her philanthropy work in Charleston as well as striving to learn more to better help these individuals.
Beyond the realm of chiropractic, Dr. Arentsen cherishes activities in the outdoors. She loves nothing better than to spend the day hiking, being on the water, or exploring historical areas. While her time in Charleston has been brief, Dr. Arentsen has fallen in love with the area and all it has to offer. If she can’t get out into the great outdoors, she loves to start her day with hot yoga or PIYO.

Dr. Tara Johnson
Doctor of Chiropractic
Dr. Johnson was first introduced to chiropractic after being in a car accident. While under care she fell in love with the unlimited possibilities of healing through a holistic approach. As a young girl, Dr. Johnson was always fascinated by human anatomy and the body’s ability to heal itself.
Dr. Johnson obtained her Bachelor’s of Science Degree from Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, NC. From there, she went on to receive her Master’s Degree in Sports Science with a concentration in Health and Exercise Science from the Citadel Military College here in Charleston. Dr. Johnson earned her Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Life University in Marietta GA; one of the largest chiropractic colleges in the U.S. While attending Life University; she was involved in several extracurricular activities. Dr. Johnson was the Eastern Regional Representative for the Student American Black Chiropractic Association (SABCA) as well as the Vice President. She was also a member of the Sports Chiropractic Club.
Dr. Johnson has a strong desire help the local community especially at risk youth and those who lack the proper resources to succeed in life. She plans to work with young athletes to assist in improving their biomechanics; which will help aid in their development and longevity in sports. In the past, Dr. Johnson has worked with young adults in assisting them to be able to reach their higher education goals.
Dr. Johnson enjoys cooking, running, traveling, and eating. She describes a perfect day as waking up to the sounds of the ocean, with an unlimited variety of food, and endless laughter. As a Charleston native, Dr. Johnson loves going to Folly Beach during the warmer days and eating at local restaurants.
Dr. Johnson is excited to enhance the healthcare of the community she grew up in. She is looking forward to being apart of you and your family’s wellness team.
Dr. Sydnee Tolpa
Doctor of Chiropractic
Dr. Tolpa is a native of New York State and specializes in the neuromusculoskeletal system.
Dr. Tolpa discovered chiropractic while shadowing a doctor who opened her eyes to the awesome benefits of holistic medicine without the use of harmful chemicals. Manual therapy became a passion of Dr. Tolpa’s quickly because of the unique nature of a hands-on approach. Dr. Tolpa is also certified in Dry Needling, which she can offer you alongside chiropractic care. Dry needling is becoming a very popular modality to optimize the function of your neuromuscular system and decrease pain.
Dr. Tolpa obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology from St. John Fisher College, with a minor in Chemistry and Psychology. Dr. Tolpa went on to complete her Doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine from New York Chiropractic College, while also completing a certification in Contemporary Medical Needling from Mcmaster Medical University and a certification in Dry Needling from the Maryland Institute. Dr. Tolpa’s clinical rotations involved working with all ages with a focus on veterans, athletes, adolescents, and geriatric patients. Her needling background has allowed her to work with high level athletes and help them through their injuries in addition to providing preventative care.
Outside of her chiropractic profession, Dr. Tolpa also has training in emergency medicine as a basic life support provider working alongside paramedics and in hospitals. In her spare time Dr. Tolpa enjoys teaching yoga as a certified Yoga Alliance Instructor which she obtained from Koh Phangan, Thailand. She believes in full body balance which she obtains and teaches through an intricate harmony of movement, nutrition, and mindfulness. Dr. Tolpa also enjoys spending time outdoors, with hobbies including running, hiking, and painting. She loves to travel and has made trips to multiple countries around the world.
